ACT President's Message
As a State Branch of a premier national nursing organisation our aims are multiple:
- We aim to provide representation for our members at a state and national level on any platform that has impact or importance for emergency nurses
- We aim to provide a variety of quality educational opportunities that are relevant to emergency nurses
- We aim to provide networking opportunities for all emergency nurses in the ACT and throughout the Southern Areas of NSW, both rural and metropolitan.
To this end we need your input. It is our hope that you will feel welcome to communicate with us at any time and let us know what YOU want. Please do drop us a line via act@cena.org.au , let us know what you would like from the State Branch, the ACT webpage, the National website or from any other means.

Events and activities
The Branch Committee of Management meetings for the second half of 2011 will be held on the following dates:
- 3 August
- 5 October
- 1 December
(extraordinary meetings may be organised as required)

A social event will be organised to celebrate one year on for the ACT Branch and the end of the year.

Representation
As a new Branch the ACT has been focused on establishing the Committee of Management and meeting the immediate needs of Branch members. Representing CENA members on government etc Territory and National Steering Committees will be the Committees focus in the coming months.
The ACT Branch has recently provided feedback via the Board for a number of documents and projects, eg: CENA Mechanical Ventilation Position Statement, AHMAC ATS Process Review Project, CONNO Credentialing Framework.
