Please come along and represent South Australia emergency nurses at the premier emergency nursing conference for the year. The program is excellent with key note speakers from around the world. See the link on our website home page for ICEN 2010.
TRAUMA NURSING PROGRAM
The National rollout of the TNP is well underway. Australia now has a National consistent education program for trauma nursing with ED Modules having been run so far in QLD, NSW, VIC, TAS, ACT, NT, SA and scheduled for NZ in 2009.
CENA-SA has a TNP committee formed that is dedicated to bringing regular Modules to SA. This is a huge opportunity for SA emergency nurses, and your support is welcomed. The second Emergency Module was run in May 2009, held at The Lyell McEwen Hospital in Adelaide. This was an excellent 2-day program with 24 participants from both rural and metropolitan regions. Feedback was excellent and the Lyell Mac is to be congratulated on the excellent venue, and the teaching team for their hard work, excellent organisation, and wonderful dedication and support for continuing emergency trauma education.

Education
CENA SA continues to provide solid tangible support for the ongoing educational needs of SA nurses.
Rural education sessions can be tailor made to meet the needs of individual hospitals, districts, health services, or service providers.
Education during the last year has focused on the Trauma Nursing Program and has been run in Adelaide metropolitan. A further Module is in the planning stage and all details are to be announced at a later stage.
