CENA is an Australian College Nursing (ACN) Silver Affiliate.  The ACN is a key national professional nursing organisation with a focus on nursing leadership and is open to nurses in all settings and at every stage of their career.  Silver Affiliation provides the following benefits to CENA members:

Membership

The College of Emergency Nursing (CENA) runs its membership year runs from 1 July to 30 June each year. The annual fee shown in the table below, categorised by membership level, reflect a full 12-month membership, from August onward, the pro-rata amount will be charged at the time of joining.   All fees shown are inclusive of GST.

Full Member 

A person registered as a nurse or enrolled nurse who is registered with AHPRA to practice as a nurse or enrolled nurse or a person registered as a nurse or presently permitted to practice as a nurse or enrolled nurse in accordance with the laws applicable to the country of their residence.

Full members have full membership entitlements, which includes access to all benefits and voting rights and the opportunity to nominate to represent the College or for positions on committees and the Board.

 

Full Member - Monthly payment

A person registered as a nurse or enrolled nurse who is registered with AHPRA to practice as a nurse or enrolled nurse or a person registered as a nurse or presently permitted to practice as a nurse or enrolled nurse in accordance with the laws applicable to the country of their residence.

Associate Member

Post Graduate Member

Postgraduate Student Members will need to provide proof of enrolment in an emergency nursing or related course of study at a tertiary institution on application to join the College and with renewal of Postgraduate Student Membership. Postgraduate Student Members will only be eligible for postgraduate student membership for a maximum of 3 years .

Postgraduate members will receive benefits of membership with the College, however they are not entitled to take part in any election, or vote on any matter.

 

Student Member

A person enrolled in a course, which on graduation will give them registration as an RN with AHPRA to practice as a nurse or enrolled nurse. Application for admission as a Student Member must be accompanied by evidence of student enrolment, and by the fee prescribed by the Board.

Student members will receive benefits of membership with the College, however they are not entitled to take part in any election, or vote on any matter.

 

Retiree Member

A financial member of the College who has completely and permanently retired from practise and is no longer registered to practice with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.  Such persons, if admitted as a Retiree Member, will be invited to take part in any election or vote on any matter or hold a position on a Branch Committee of Management or the National Board.

Fellow of the College

The Board of Directors or its delegate may admit as Fellows of the College members who, in the opinion of the Board, are distinguished by reason of their notable contributions to emergency nursing.

Monthly Direct Debit Membership

Membership Paid Monthly

CENA offers Direct Debit payment option to all Members. Payments will be deducted on a monthly basis from either your nominated bank account or credit card. To take advantage of this option please fill out and return our Direct Debit Form no later than 30 days before your membership is due to expire. Please note this option will incur administration costs that increase the total fee.

Please read the information carefully before deciding this option is right for you!

Your Customer Number is your CENA membership number.

Date of First Payment

We will endeavour to make your payment on the date specified – however this may be subject to change.

Frequency

CENA direct debit members can only choose the monthly payment schedule (applications nominating other options will not be processed). CENA membership is for 12 months, you can only choose to stop your direct debit after the 12 payments and not fewer.  Also, you can elect to continue your payment deductions monthly for the next membership year.

Cancellation

Members who request cancellation of their membership before the end of the 12 months duration, must payout the remaining amount owed to their account.

If you choose to continue your direct debit for the following year you will be charged automatically until notice is given.

To cease payments, you MUST give your notice before the end of your 12-month membership, not after the new membership year is underway.

Payment Amount

Direct debit amounts are processed at $19.00 for members and $24.00 for Fellows. These are the only two amounts that will be accepted, applications nominating other amounts will not be processed and the CENA member will be contacted to confirm details.

Total annual amount payable for Full membership via monthly payments is $228.00
Total annual amount payable for Fellow membership via monthly payments is $288.00

Of course, CENA’s standard payment options for annual membership payments still include credit card, cheque and direct deposit.
